It’s a lot easier to make a difference together.
Lyndon2024-11-16 Good quality and strong Strong and easy to use JHartranft2024-11-13 Wide blades work great These have nice, wide blades to really help spread the load of whatever it's keeping pinned to the ground. They should do a good job holding most things down even in wet, windy conditions. LAF2024-11-07 Drop the price to $25.00 These aren't horribly overpriced, but they are overpriced & the cost should be reduced to about $25 - $27. That said, these are fantastic. Currently, we heat our house with wood & keeping the firewood dry is a priority for reliable heating. We're using these to anchor a rain resistant cover over our firewood & they work well for that purpose. We have two of the anchors behind the woodpile & two in front. They were very easy to install with a drill & we appreciated the included drill bit needed to anchor the augers properly. To each of the augers, we have the corner of a tarp fastened with a carabiner, for easy access to the woodpile. The biners make it easy to re-cover the wood as well. The anchors are working very well for that purpose. That said, we have plans to build an activity enter for our little ones & expect to order more of these to anchor the swing set & improve the safety of other activities that might have a tendency to tip over. I can't comment on their effectiveness for playset use because we haven't used them for that yet, but we plan to.For covering/uncovering firewood, these are excellent. They hold the cover tightly over the wood, keeping it mostly dry. We often get some powerful windstorms, especially in the spring & fall. The wind tries to pick the cover up with a lot of force, like a sail. The anchors have consistently held tight during these storms, so we've been pretty impressed with the strength of these augers, even under some pretty hostile conditions. We also appreciate that they're designed with loops on the tops of them. They make it much easier to fasten & unfasten the carabiners to easily access & cover the wood, which we do pretty frequently. We have no doubt that these will provide considerable security to our children's play equipment, though we haven't yet used them in that way. I'd recommend these to others for use as we've used them & plan to use them, along with an array of other possible uses. They work well. They just need to come down a bit in price. Johnson2024-10-18 OK Good Geoff2024-10-16 Great design, awesome anchoring ability I picked these up to anchor a 10x17 portable canvas garage since I wasn’t impressed with the anchors included with the garage. The anchors came packed with a 1/4” shank nut driver that chucked up nicely in the impact driver.Driving into rocky ground is never easy, but the great design and impact driver made it easy and I was able to bury 3 of the 4 with only a little effort, and the 4th made it in more than halfway. Good enough. The real test of these came two days ago, though. We had 50MPH wind gusts and while the garage was lifting completely off the ground it never made it further than the cable tethers and the stakes didn’t budge.Get these, you won’t regret it. reynolds2024-10-16 Look great, hope to be able to use them some day. Looks like these should work great when I get around to using them.
